Awesome! What an awesome day! Everywhere I looked there was such an incredible array of cars on display; some sitting pretty in garages displaying themselves to all who wandered in, and some getting right royally spanked around the racetrack showing their owners exactly what they can do! Have a look at this for the selection that was on offer:
Aston Martin V12 Vantage, XT GT Falcon, Ferrari Scuderia, Mini JCW Convertible, Lamborghini Murcielago, Mercedes Benz CLK63, Bentley GT Supersport, MX5, Lotus Elise, Porsche 993 Turbo S, Nissan Skyline Grp A, Audi S5, DJR V8 Supercar, Ferrari F40, March F1 car
.....and on and on and on! Brilliant!
On display in the pits was what has to be the most stunning 4 door sports car built. Ever. The Aston Martin Rapide had it's first showing in Sydney at the Burrows Day and certainly attracted many admirers. Watching how people approached the car, it was interesting to see where they directed their attention first. Usually a driver will head straight to the drivers seat, to see and feel the driving ergonomics and fiddle with all the switches. Not the Rapide though; almost everyone headed straight to the back seats! And I must admit, we tried and tested it with me at 6'2 in the drivers seat and a friend about the same height in the back seat...whilst you wouldn't drive to QLD like that he was certainly comfortable. On top of the successful ergonomics, EVO magazine has just rated it a sensational steer as well. Thanks to all at Trivett Aston Martin for allowing the car on be on display.
I must also congratulate all the drivers from last weeks event for the responsible and measured approach to the driving on track. For the first event back in the new year it was a great show of driving within your limits and still enjoying your cars. Pip pip!
Many thanks must go to the instructors who are always there with a helping hand. Renato, John, Ian, Josh, Scott and Nathan; thanks guys. Thanks to Anni and Keith for the behind the scenes work, and to James from

and Shane from

A huge
welcome back!!
to Enzo our long lost but never forgotten barista. Enzo is now with Schibello Coffee and we are very happy to welcome them to the Burrows Days for 2010. Much like a good proctologist, when you find a good barista, stick to him!
The next Burrows Day is set for
Wednesday 31st March
- just after the Melbourne F1 Grand Prix (which will
definitely
be worth watching this year!), so secure your place and get out to the track to play race car drivers with us! Invitations have been emailed out and places are starting to fill already!
We look forward to seeing you at the track!
Maserati Gran Turismo, Aston DBS, Aston V12 Vantage, Ferrari F40...sigh.
