Over the years, I have been ridiculously lucky to have the opportunity to drive many of the latest and greatest road cars; more than I ever could have imagined when I was a boy reading through my favourite Ferrari book! Over the same time, my driving has improved (with the help of the great instructors at our drive days!), and I now find I can understand what the hell car magazines mean when they talk about 'oversteer' or 'understeer,' and 'feedback' or 'balance.' So it all came to a head that wonderful day I was offered a drive of the Lamborghini Murcielago. I was so overcome with the fact I got to drive it, that I just had to sit down and write about it! I've driven lots of good stuff between then and now, and recently I had the opportunity to have the new Aston Martin V8 Vantage for a long weekend and the same thing happened - I just had to sit down and write about it!

So we now have a new link on the site called "Car Reviews" ( imagination plus there!!) Under Parc Ferme on the home page you will find the link, or just click HERE , for my first two efforts at car reviews - the AM V8 Vantage and the Lambo Murcielago. Now keep in mind, these are written from a non car racing background guy who just loves cars! There's no technical specs and spots in there, just how I felt about the car and how I felt it behaved. I like to think it's a review by and for the layman driving enthusiast!! Please check it out and let me know what you think....but only if it's good! Now that I am a writer I have a very fragile ego! I will endeavor to add more reviews as often as possible and let you know when there's some new stuff to read.

Events O'Neill / Industrie Karting GP Championship

Due to the fantastic response and driver enthusiasm, we have added a new page on the site dedicated to this new racing championship. With 2 mini GP 'heats' run and won and 3 remaining, the karting GP is proving to be a great way to come racing with your colleagues or mates, and potentially win some cool prizes from our event sponsor Industrie Clothing . Just confirmed: each driver will also receive their very own set of squeezable ear plugs for the event!!! Paul from Captivaction will be providing ear plugs for each driver because, as he puts it, "...it is very important to protect your hearing as there is no doubt you will need it to answer all the media questions you will be faced with after winning the Events O'Neill Karting GP in December!" Uh-huh...!!!!

Remember - if you have already qualified for the Grand Final in December, you can always come racing again to keep your eye in! You cannot re qualify and if indeed you place in the top 4, the driver next in line will take the finals place. Remaining heats are Tue 17th Oct and Thur 23rd Nov. Grand Final 7th Dec.
